Technically, I work as a salesperson. If you want to sell your house, I help you sell it. If you want to buy a house, I help you buy it. And although the important aspects of that process are sales and marketing related, I’ve never really felt like I’ve taken on the identity of a salesman. My philosophy has been much more about being a guide to my clients. Someone who is a good listener, who responds with empathy, and can lead my clients to the outcomes that they desire.

Because of that mindset, I’ve been interested in how people think and act for a long time. I’ve probably read a hundred books about human behavior, how we make decisions, and what fuels our habits. I also live these principles out in my own life, as I routinely analyze my own goals, my daily routines, and the way I interact with the people around me. In some ways, it has been my life’s work to integrate how people make decisions into what that means for them in the real estate market.

Which is why it made sense to me to take another step to further integrate this philosophy into my life. I’m excited to share with you that I am now a certified life coach! This is something I’ve been working on for quite some time behind the scenes, but I’ve just wrapped up my training and earned my certification. It had been a long time since I was in a classroom, but it was a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

This is fantastic news for all of my real estate clients. I have definitely added to my skillset of asking great questions, being an active listener, helping you articulate your own goals, and channeling your motivation. These are not skills that you will see on a traditional real estate agent’s resume, but in some ways, these are the most important aspects of navigating one of the largest financial transactions of your life. Buying or selling your home can be an emotional, stressful, anxiety-ridden time, and now I have elevated my ability to help you be more comfortable and adjust your mindset in ways that can make the entire process much more enjoyable and successful.

I may find some other uses for these skills as well. Coaching other agents or business owners who are struggling to find motivation or to shift their mindset comes to mind. Or helping people align their actions and habits with their values would also get me excited. Regardless, it’s fun to be able to continue to learn and grow throughout the course of my life, and the future is very exciting.

If you would like to put my new skills to work, I’m currently accepting new clients. I welcome both buyers and sellers, in all price ranges and in all locations in the metro area. I like to say I’m not a specialist in any one area; I’m a specialist in making my clients very happy, and now I can boost that to an even higher level.
